Yesterday was a good day. Diet was on track, and I did a crossfit workout for the first time in over a week. My knee is still bothering me though; it hurts even to just walk. I knew this before the workout but thought I would just tough it out. But now, I'm second guessing my decision to do thrusters and running with a sore leg. Gosh darn. I don't want to be injured. Maybe the ice and Advil will do the trick.

From experience if it hurts don't do it (or in my case if it causes significant swelling don't do it). Tis better to row and high pull and be standing to WOD on tuesday than "grit it out".
I seem to have to learn this lesson on a regular basis...pushing through weighted squat based exercises to the point of not perfect form always leads to my knee popping but I somehow insists on proving it again and again (I'm pretty sure I came close to hitting my neighbor today as I threw the weights down).
Continue striving to take care of your body and your mind! hopefully I'll catch you at the gym one day this week!
A special shout out to Gnomes for park WODing RX today!!
Thanks Meeks - two days in a row with RX weight!! Something just might finally be clicking!
Sheryl - thanks for the link to that story last night. I read it as I was falling asleep and had sweet dreams of a little man planting trees.
Thanks, Dr Meeks. And thanks Sheryl for the encouragement on FB and the reminder that it gets better, not worse (as long as you listen to common sense and Dr Meeks).
Great job, Gnomes on the rx Park wod yesterday!
Gnomes, it was awesome to see you go Rx yesterday!
Thanks all! To be totally, 100% honest, I have not really been "feeling" the gym recently (my appearance has been sporadic for the past few months...) and just could not decide if this was something I wanted to keep doing....well, I got to say, doing 2 days of RX'd weight feels good! Still need to work on pull-ups, push-ups, etc, but the weight is there! I won't be able to make it back into the gym until next week (excuses/work/responsibilities/whatever you want to call them), but I am looking forward to being back in the gym next week!
