A Witch, a Rat, and a Roach

Love the costumes. It looks like you all had a great weekend! I need that roach outfit for next year! Stan always dresses as the Orkin man (since it is our last name and all), and I have always wanted to be a roach, but have never gotten around to getting a costume...

I think I had a head cold, so I am very discouraged this morning - sore throat, stuffy ear, runny nose....not fun. I am hoping to feel better so I can make it to the gym tonight.

P.S. - I am still Xena. Not giving that virtual costume up yet.

Gnomes, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hopefully it won't last long at all.

I had a fun weekend. This morning I'm focusing on getting back on track after a weekend of playing.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Gnomes I too suffered this weekend from the same symptoms you have. I was lucky enough to be with a group of chiropractors during the Gator game, one does this testing of the nervous system through meridian points to diagnose conditions, it sounds hookey, but I felt like poo and was ready for anything. He diagnosed me with a viral sore throat infection and told me to get Grape Seed Extract and L Lysine ASAP. I loaded up on both all day yesterday ( plus I rested this whole weekend) and I feel about 95% better now, so good I am ready to get back in the CFED game!!! Hope you feel better soon, I know how bad it stinks to be ready to give it your all but your body won't let you (ie my foot and this virus as of lately for me, so over it!!)But listen to your body and you will get better sooner!!!

Where can I get Grape Seed Extract and L Lysine? I am willing to give it a try. Just took a decongestant and Zicam. Anyone ever used a Netti Pot? I am thinking about buying one today...

Gnomes, I hope you will feel better soon. Feeling poorly is no fun, but Xena can battle away any bugs, including giant Palmetto Bugs (Savannah speak for big, ugly flying roaches) like the one in the picture! LOL!

Rae, glad you are feeling better. Some of the homeopathic remedies are terrific, and I am convinced so much better for our bodies than some of the so-called miracle drugs out there.

Pat, thanks for playing this weekend. It was lots of fun having you in town, and I concur that we have to work on getting back on track. I slept for three hours after you left yesterday and did absolutely nothing! It felt great! Alas, it is back to the real world today! Off to the office.

I ate a Big Mac and fries yesterday. The big deal is not that I fell off the wagon. Who cares about that. The big deal is that it's a big deal that I ate a Big Mac. That I hadn't done so in many months. That I don't even crave them any more. That I have honest to goodness changed my eating life-style. So yesterday's Big Mac represents victory and change.

Gnomes I love my Netti Pot!!! It reminds me of a day at the beach, ie salt water, but really hepls, my cold lasted exactly 24 hours and I pay my thanks to that to : herbs, netti, and chiro(no meds what so ever!!
