CrossFit Girls

I love this picture that Kath took of Ashley, Myesha, and me following "Erin" on Thursday. It captures some of what is so great about CrossFit: the friendships, the wonderful feeling of accomplishment afterwards, comparing stories and congratulating each other on a workout well-done. What are the things you love about CrossFit?

I hope you all have a great weekend. Look for my next post on Monday.

Don't forget lunch Sunday, 2pm at Ted's Montanna Grill following the workout.

Best thing about crossfit for me is CFED and all the great friends I've made there. It's a great community. I feel so fortunate to be part of it.

My fave thing about CrossFit is how empowered it makes me feel! I feel like a strong woman and what's better than that?

Crossfit has made me stronger physically and mentally. It has introduced me to some AWESOME people. It's the first time since I was playing sports that I truely want to go to the gym most mornings.

I love the mental toughtness CrossFit brings. It's given me the ability to summon energy when I think there's none left - inside and outside of the gym. And the sense of physical empowerment. And the CFED community - a group of can-doers with passion who all seem to have an underlying good. I've said before that it's become my "third space."

I echo what everyone has said - the community and the mental and physical strength and toughness it brings.

See you all at noon!

I love the sense of community and finding people with common goals and accomplishments that live in my neighborhood. I don't have a lot of friends and other than work, I am alone a lot. So, I love having a place to go to workout, chat, have lunch sometimes, etc. I love the fact that I no longer look at workouts as a calorie burner. 99% of the time, I don't dread going to the gym, I actually look forward to it. I am strong and wear my CFED t-shirt proudly.

Yeah! When I got home from our lunch at Ted's (followed by coffee-talk at Java Monkey), I planned my meals for the next 5 days, then went to Publix to buy what I needed. I have printed my 5-day menu plan and posted it on the Fridge. Thanks for the inspiration, Shana, Sheryl, and Melissa.

Ditto to having had a great time and to the thanks for the inspiration. I got a block away from my house and heard your voices. Turned the car around and went to the grocery store. Thank you.
