by Robert Frost
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow,
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know;
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away;
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost--
For the grapes' sake along the wall.
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow,
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know;
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away;
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost--
For the grapes' sake along the wall.

Sheryl, I loved your Aha moment from yesterday. They don't always have to be profound to be great, do they?
Beautiful photo!
Sheryl, I love that Marianne Williamson quote you posted. She's got some great ones... I have some audio CDs from some talks she's given - she's an advocate for "A Course in Miracles."
I could use a course in miracles...
I think we are all miracles! We just take different paths to create them! Believe!
What an amazing photo and poem! The grapes remind me of some I just got from YDFM, so delicious!
I like your comment Byron about miracles, we are all miracles and each day is a miracle too!
Shana, I agree, absolutely love this photo. This one and the groundhog photo are my favorites. So different from each other, but they each make me feel so good. :)

Sheryl, have you seen the Arts section of the AJC? There's a feature store on Guitar Red! =o)
Funny. Thanks Pat.
